Bengaluru based MeshDefend has completed a successful pre-seed funding round, securing $2.3 million in investment led by Kalaari Capital. The pioneering artificial intelligence operating system provider also received backing from Kettleborough VC and a consortium of seasoned entrepreneurs and corporate executives.
Addressing Critical Infrastructure Challenges
MeshDefend’s emergence addresses a fundamental challenge facing modern enterprises: the complexity of managing hybrid cloud environments across multiple vendor ecosystems. The company’s flagship product, Agent Mesh, represents a paradigm shift in how organizations approach data infrastructure management. This AI-native operating system facilitates seamless coordination between diverse AI agents from various technology providers, creating an integrated mesh architecture that enhances operational efficiency.
Visionary Leadership with Industry Experience
The startup’s founding team brings substantial industry expertise to the venture. Tejas Pandit and Ravi Chitloor, both former Dell executives, established MeshDefend in 2025 with a clear vision of transforming enterprise infrastructure through intelligent automation. Their combined experience in enterprise technology positions the company strategically to understand and address the nuanced requirements of large scale organizations.
Pandit articulated the company’s philosophy, emphasizing the importance of interoperability among AI agents from different vendors. This collaborative approach distinguishes MeshDefend’s solution in an increasingly fragmented technology landscape where enterprises struggle to integrate disparate systems effectively.
Strategic Deployment of Capital
The newly acquired funds will be allocated toward three primary objectives: accelerating product development cycles, strengthening the engineering workforce at the Bangalore headquarters, and deepening strategic partnerships with design partners in the United States market. Currently operating with a lean team of twelve professionals, MeshDefend plans to expand its technical capabilities to meet growing enterprise demand.
Sampath P, Partner at Kalaari Capital, expressed confidence in MeshDefend’s approach, noting that context aware artificial intelligence represents the future of enterprise infrastructure. The investment reflects growing investor interest in solutions that combine automation, security, and intelligence to optimize data operations while delivering measurable returns on investment for enterprise clients.
