AI coding startup Cursor introduced a new subscription plan called “Cursor Start” on Monday, priced at ₹649 per month exclusively for users in India. The launch, coming weeks before Cursor’s expected acquisition by SpaceX closes, marks the company’s first attempt at country specific pricing as it targets one of the world’s largest developer markets.

However, it excludes several features reserved for Pro subscribers, including frontier models from providers like OpenAI and Anthropic, Bugbot, Auto Mode, Automations, and the Cursor SDK. Payments are accepted via credit and debit cards as well as India’s Unified Payments Interface.
