TravelTech Startup 30 Sundays Secures ₹61 Crore in Series A Funding Led by Bessemer Venture Partners

Gurugram based travel tech startup 30 Sundays has closed a ₹61 crore funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with continued backing from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Eximius. The round comes as the company looks to expand its AI driven holiday planning platform into new international markets and deepen its technology capabilities.

From Niche Beginnings to Broader Ambitions

Founded in 2024 by Kshitij Chaudhary and Anuj Punjani, 30 Sundays began by focusing on outbound leisure travel, using generative AI to automate itinerary planning, customer qualification, and booking. The startup has since scaled to an annualised gross booking value run rate of approximately ₹200 crore, with its core markets spanning Bali, Vietnam, the Maldives, and Thailand.

The company has recently expanded into New Zealand and Mauritius, and plans further entry into Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines.

Fund Allocation and Strategic Priorities

According to the company, funds from this round will support:

  • Strengthening AI and technology infrastructure
  • Expanding product offerings
  • Growing teams across functions
  • Investing in marketing and brand building
  • Accelerating international expansion

The Bigger Picture: A Growing Market Opportunity

India’s outbound leisure travel market is a significant and growing opportunity, driven by rising disposable incomes, expanding middle class aspirations, and easier visa access. AI-native platforms like 30 Sundays are positioning themselves to capture this demand by automating traditionally manual, time intensive processes—itinerary design, lead follow ups, and reservations—allowing smaller teams to serve more customers efficiently. This funding signals continued investor confidence in AI’s ability to reshape how travel is planned and booked.

Looking Ahead

With fresh capital in hand, 30 Sundays is expected to accelerate its geographic footprint and refine its AI capabilities further. Reports indicate the company has maintained profitability even as it scales. As competition in India’s travel tech sector intensifies, this claim—alongside its ability to sustain growth—will be a key metric to watch in the coming quarters.
