Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group Secures $40 Million in Series B Funding Round Led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management

Hyderabad based Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group (RVAG) has closed a $40 million Series B funding round, co-led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management, with additional participation from Indus Bridge Ventures, GJNX Ventures, and investor Ashish Kacholia. The company plans to use the capital to expand its manufacturing footprint across India, the UK, and the US, and to strengthen its presence in mission systems, deep tech, and autonomous platforms.

Inside RVAG’s Manufacturing Capabilities

Founded by Vamsi Vikas, RVAG operates more than 10 facilities globally and delivers end to end aerospace manufacturing services, spanning design, engineering, testing, and assembly. Its capabilities include CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, composites, electronics, gears, fasteners, and NADCAP-approved special processes.

The company supplies components to major global OEMs, including GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, Safran, and Collins Aerospace, and serves energy sector clients such as Baker Hughes, Halliburton, SLB, and GE. RVAG’s order book currently exceeds Rs 2,500 crore, reflecting sustained demand across its business lines.

The Bigger Picture: India’s Aerospace Ambitions

India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing sector has been attracting growing investor attention as global OEMs diversify supply chains and seek precision manufacturing partners outside traditional hubs. RVAG’s expansion into mission systems, autonomous platforms, and deep tech signals a broader shift among Indian manufacturers toward higher value, technology intensive segments rather than pure contract manufacturing.

For the local ecosystem, the investment also reinforces Hyderabad’s position as a hub for aerospace and defence innovation, supported by RVAG’s partnerships with IITs, IIITs, ARCI, ADA, and DRDO.

Looking Ahead for RVAG

With fresh capital in place, RVAG is expected to accelerate its upcoming integrated manufacturing facility while scaling production capacity across its existing sites. Continued investment in autonomous systems, including drones and unmanned ground vehicles for the Indian armed forces, suggests the company is positioning itself as a broader defence technology player, not just a component supplier.

The funding round underscores sustained investor confidence in India’s precision manufacturing and defence technology landscape, and positions RVAG to compete more directly on the global stage.
