The Wedding Company Raises $1M in Pre-Seed Investment from LVX and Tremis Capital for Multi-City Expansion

Wedding Company

The Wedding Company, a technology-enabled wedding planning and fulfillment platform, has successfully secured $1 million in pre-seed funding in a round co-led by LVX (formerly LetsVenture) and Tremis Capital. The investment marks a significant milestone for the startup as it seeks to scale operations across India’s expansive wedding industry.

Strategic Investment for Market Expansion

The funding round attracted participation from notable angel investors, including Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, co-founder of Wakefit; Ajith Pai, Chief Operating Officer of Delhivery; and Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder of Dropbox. This diverse investor portfolio reflects strong confidence in the company’s vision and execution capabilities.

The capital will be strategically deployed across three key areas: geographic expansion into new cities, enhancement of products and technology infrastructure, and establishment of a robust vendor network to ensure consistent service delivery at scale.

Addressing India’s Complex Wedding Market

Founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta, a YC and MIT alumnus, and Rahul Namdev, The Wedding Company addresses the complexities inherent in India’s $130 billion wedding industry. The platform connects couples with verified vendors across essential services including venues, photography, décor, catering, and logistics.

The founders recognize the substantial opportunity in streamlining India’s traditionally fragmented wedding planning process through technology-driven solutions that prioritize quality assurance and operational efficiency.

Impressive Growth Trajectory

The company has demonstrated remarkable traction since its inception, handling over ₹60 crore in service orders and successfully delivering more than 1,000 weddings across eight cities. Current performance metrics indicate monthly service orders exceeding ₹10 crore and net monthly revenue of ₹1 crore.

With a Gross Order Value of ₹40 crore achieved, The Wedding Company has set ambitious targets for FY26, aiming to reach ₹120 crore in annual revenue, representing a 3x growth trajectory that underscores the platform’s scalability and market potential.
