Mumbai Fashion-Tech Startup KNOT Secures $3 Million Pre-Series A to Accelerate Pan-India Expansion

KNOT

The quick commerce sector continues to evolve with innovative solutions addressing consumer pain points, and Mumbai-based fashion platform KNOT has emerged as a notable player in this space. The company recently announced the successful completion of its $3 million pre-Series A funding round, marking a significant milestone in its journey to revolutionize fashion retail.

Strategic Investment and Backing

Kae Capital led the funding round, demonstrating institutional confidence in KNOT’s business model and growth trajectory. The investment round attracted diverse participation from Sparrow Capital, Boundless Ventures LLP, and prominent fashion industry entrepreneurs, including founders from established brands such as SNITCH, The Souled Store, and Bonkers Corner. This industry backing underscores the credibility of KNOT’s approach within the fashion ecosystem.

Existing investors, including WEH Ventures, All In Capital, and Kumar Saurabh from Aukera Jewellery, continued their support through participation in this round, indicating sustained confidence in the company’s vision and execution capabilities.

Innovation in Fashion Delivery

Founded in 2025 by IIT Bombay graduates Archit Nanda and Rachit Bansal, KNOT addresses fundamental challenges in online fashion shopping through its unique value proposition. The platform offers 60-minute delivery combined with a Try ‘n Buy feature, specifically targeting Gen Z and millennial consumers in Mumbai who prioritize convenience and product satisfaction.

The company’s technological infrastructure includes AI-powered virtual try-on capabilities and doorstep try-on services with instant return options. These features directly address the primary concern of online fashion shopping: fit and satisfaction uncertainty. By enabling customers to experience products before final purchase decisions, KNOT reduces return rates while enhancing customer confidence.

Expansion and Market Positioning

With over 70 fashion brand partnerships and thousands of monthly orders, KNOT has demonstrated operational scalability within its current market. The fresh capital will facilitate expansion beyond Mumbai, enabling the company to replicate its successful model in additional metropolitan areas across India.

The funding will also support enhanced product development and strengthen existing brand partnerships, positioning KNOT to capture increasing demand for quick commerce solutions in the fashion sector. As consumer expectations continue to evolve toward faster, more convenient shopping experiences, KNOT’s integrated approach of speed, technology, and customer satisfaction places it strategically within the growing quick commerce fashion market.

This funding round represents not just capital injection but validation of KNOT’s innovative approach to solving persistent challenges in fashion e-commerce.
