Scalekit Raises $5.5 Million Seed Round to Build Authentication Infrastructure for AI Agents

Scalekit

Modern business applications are experiencing a paradigm shift with the growing integration of artificial intelligence agents across organizational workflows. Addressing this evolution, Scalekit, a promising AI powered SaaS startup, has successfully secured $5.5 million in seed funding, positioning itself at the forefront of agent identity management solutions.

Strategic Investment Partnership

The funding round was led by Together Fund and Z47, with notable participation from experienced angel investors including Adam Frankl, Oliver Jay, and Jagadeesh Kunda. This diverse investor backing demonstrates confidence in Scalekit’s vision and market positioning within the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure sector.

Addressing Critical Market Needs

Founded in 2023 by Satya Devarakonda alongside a talented team of former Freshworks engineers, Scalekit tackles a fundamental challenge that traditional authentication systems struggle to address. As CEO Devarakonda explains, the industry has shifted from simply blocking automated bots to requiring sophisticated authentication and access control mechanisms for legitimate AI agents operating within business environments.

The company’s innovative approach centers on providing modular infrastructure specifically designed for SaaS and AI-first organizations. Unlike comprehensive platforms that offer bundled solutions, Scalekit empowers developers with selective implementation capabilities, allowing them to choose precisely the tools their applications require.

Product Portfolio and Market Traction

Scalekit’s current offerings include MCP Auth for agentic servers, Agent Actions for secure API interactions, and traditional human authentication features such as Single Sign On (SSO) and System for Cross domain Identity Management (SCIM). This comprehensive yet flexible toolkit addresses both emerging AI agent requirements and established enterprise authentication needs.

The startup has already demonstrated market validation through partnerships with companies including Fello, Sifthub, Napkin, Unstract, Hubbl, and Aerchain. With a lean team of 25 employees, Scalekit has efficiently built and deployed solutions that support AI native application authentication and advanced agentic functionalities.

Future Development Plans

The fresh capital will enable Scalekit to enhance its core technology platform while expanding integration capabilities across numerous business applications. This strategic investment positions the company to capitalize on the growing demand for sophisticated AI agent management solutions as enterprises increasingly adopt autonomous software systems across their operational frameworks.
