Mygate, a leading community management and security platform, has successfully secured ₹225 Crore in a fresh funding round led by Dharana Capital. This milestone marks a pivotal step in the company’s journey toward becoming the dominant platform for gated community management across the country.
A Platform Built for Urban India
Founded in 2016 by Abhishek Kumar, Vijay Arisetty, and Shreyans Daga, Mygate was conceived to address the growing complexities of daily life in gated residential communities. What began as a visitor management solution has since evolved into a comprehensive ecosystem serving over 27,000 residential communities and 5.7 million households nationwide. The platform today encompasses a wide range of services, including security management, financial and accounting tools, resident engagement features, maintenance payment systems, and a marketplace for pre-owned goods.
Strategic Deployment of Capital
The newly secured funds will be channelled toward two primary objectives — geographic expansion and product enhancement. On the growth front, Mygate aims to scale its user base from 5.7 million to 10 million households by accelerating sign-ups across residential communities in India. Co-founder and CEO Abhishek Kumar emphasised the company’s intent to capitalise on its established strengths and drive rapid yet sustainable growth across urban centres.
On the product side, the investment will support the development of new features, including a household calendar designed to streamline payment tracking and financial planning for residents. These upgrades are aimed at making the platform more intuitive, robust, and indispensable to its growing user base.
A Sustainable Growth Story
What distinguishes Mygate’s current trajectory is its deliberate shift toward profitability. Over the past four years, the company has consciously prioritised sustainable growth over aggressive expansion, resulting in approximately 34 to 35 percent growth in operating revenue through FY26. This disciplined approach has positioned Mygate on a strong path toward becoming a profitable enterprise.

Dharana Capital’s founder and managing partner Vamsi Duvvuri highlighted the broader urban trend driving this investment. The steady migration of urban populations into gated communities represents a structural and irreversible shift in India’s residential landscape, and Mygate is uniquely positioned to serve this expanding market.
