CAVA Athleisure Secures Rs 40 Crore Series A Funding Led by Sharrp Ventures

CAVA Athleisure

The Indian athleisure market continues to witness significant investor confidence as CAVA Athleisure announces the successful completion of its Series A funding round, securing Rs 40 crore in capital. The investment round was spearheaded by Sharrp Ventures, which deployed Rs 21 crore, alongside contributions from V3 Ventures and the brand’s existing backer, Spring Marketing Capital.

Strategic Capital Deployment

The fresh capital injection will enable CAVA Athleisure to execute its expansion roadmap across multiple dimensions. The company has outlined plans to strengthen its product portfolio through innovative designs and enhanced offerings. Additionally, the funds will facilitate the recruitment of senior leadership talent to drive organizational growth and operational excellence. A substantial portion of the investment will be allocated to marketing campaigns and establishing a robust omnichannel presence, bridging digital and physical retail touchpoints.

Brand Philosophy and Market Positioning

Established in 2022 by sister duo Ria Mittal and Shreya Mittal, CAVA Athleisure has carved a distinctive niche in the competitive activewear landscape. The brand’s core philosophy centers on creating versatile clothing that seamlessly transitions between fitness activities, professional environments, and casual settings. By utilizing sustainable materials including BCI cotton and recycled polyester, CAVA demonstrates its commitment to environmental responsibility while maintaining premium quality standards.

The founders have emphasized their function-first, design led approach, ensuring that products address the specific requirements of Indian consumers. This localized strategy encompasses considerations for climate, body types, and lifestyle patterns that distinguish Indian markets from global counterparts.

Manufacturing Excellence and Growth Trajectory

CAVA’s competitive advantage stems partly from its vertically integrated operations. The company operates proprietary manufacturing facilities where design conceptualization, pattern development, and quality assurance processes are conducted in house. This operational model ensures consistent product standards while enabling rapid iteration based on consumer feedback.

The brand primarily targets the 15-30 age demographic, comprising Gen Z and millennial consumers who prioritize both aesthetic appeal and functional performance in their wardrobes. With projections indicating revenues of Rs 40 crore by the conclusion of FY26, CAVA is demonstrating substantial momentum in capturing market share.

Industry Perspective

Commenting on the investment, Rishabh Mariwala, Managing Director at Sharrp Ventures, highlighted the founders’ disciplined execution and strategic acumen despite their relatively young age. He expressed confidence in CAVA’s potential to achieve significant scale within India’s expanding athleisure sector, which continues to benefit from increasing health consciousness and lifestyle changes among urban consumers.

This funding round positions CAVA Athleisure to capitalize on the sustained growth trajectory of India’s wellness and activewear industry.
