The Indian food tech sector continues to witness significant investor interest, with Noida based Fambo announcing the successful closure of its Series A funding round worth Rs 21.55 crore. The investment was led by AgriSURE Fund, which is managed by NABVENTURES Limited, with continued backing from existing investor EV2 Ventures. This development represents the company’s second fundraising achievement in the current calendar year, having previously secured Rs 21 crore in January 2025.
Strategic Growth Plans
The newly acquired capital will enable Fambo to pursue an ambitious expansion strategy across multiple dimensions. The company plans to establish its presence in additional geographical markets beyond its current operational footprint in North and Central India. Furthermore, the funds will support the diversification of its product portfolio, allowing the startup to cater to evolving customer requirements in the hospitality sector. Investment in human capital and technological infrastructure upgrades also feature prominently in the company’s deployment strategy.
Business Model and Market Position
Since its establishment in 2022, Fambo has carved a niche in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering (HoReCa) segment by providing fresh produce and semi processed food ingredients. The company’s client roster includes prominent quick service restaurant chains such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Burger Singh, California Burrito, Nomad Pizza, and Barbeque Nation. Currently, Fambo services more than 1,000 restaurants and cloud kitchens, demonstrating substantial market penetration within a relatively short operational timeframe.
Operational Infrastructure
Fambo’s operational model integrates multiple aspects of the agricultural value chain. The company maintains relationships with farmers cultivating 75 acres of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certified land, providing comprehensive support from crop planning through procurement stages. To ensure product quality and freshness, Fambo operates a temperature regulated supply chain infrastructure capable of handling both chilled and frozen deliveries. The company leverages artificial intelligence for logistics optimization and operates a dedicated processing facility in Noida where semi processed ingredients are prepared. An in house culinary team collaborates with restaurant partners on menu development initiatives.
The food service supply sector remains competitive, with Fambo positioning itself against established players including WayCool Foods, FreshToHome’s B2B division, and Ninjacart, each vying for market share in India’s growing restaurant supply ecosystem.
