Kerala based healthcare startup Preventify has successfully concluded its pre-seed funding round, raising ₹2 crore with PedalStart as the lead investor. The round attracted significant participation from prominent angel investors, including Viren Shetty of Narayana Health, Jatin Kakrani of Dezy, and the founding teams of Supertails and Agrizy. Senior leaders from India’s healthcare ecosystem also contributed to the investment, bringing both capital and industry expertise to support the venture.
Addressing Healthcare Gaps in Non Metro India
Preventify operates at the intersection of a critical healthcare challenge in tier-II and tier-III cities. While these regions have witnessed improved access to medical facilities, the quality of care remains inconsistent and fragmented. The startup has developed a solution centered on standardized, protocol driven treatment pathways that ensure continuous and reliable care for patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory disorders.
Current Operations and Proven Track Record
The company currently operates three clinics across Kerala and has successfully served over 40,000 patients since inception. Preventify’s care model integrates in person clinical consultations with digital health monitoring and systematic follow up protocols, creating a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem that extends beyond traditional episodic treatment approaches.
Strategic Deployment of Capital
The freshly raised funds will be allocated toward several strategic initiatives. Preventify plans to establish its first cluster of 10 clinics, substantially expanding its physical infrastructure. Additional investments will focus on enhancing technology platforms, upgrading diagnostic capabilities, and strengthening pharmacy services to deliver a fully integrated patient care experience.
Leadership Perspective
Nirmal NR, Co-Founder and CEO of Preventify, emphasized that the healthcare challenge in smaller cities extends beyond mere access to medical services. The fundamental issue lies in providing consistent, long term care management for patients with chronic conditions. PedalStart’s co-founders, Manas Pal and Aditya Darolia, expressed confidence in Preventify’s execution discipline and its cluster based approach to scaling sustainable healthcare delivery.
Future Roadmap
Over the next 12-18 months, Preventify will expand its clinic network throughout Kerala while developing subscription based healthcare programs. These programs aim to facilitate ongoing patient engagement and ensure care continuity, establishing a new standard for chronic disease management in non metropolitan India.
