Mukesh Bansal-Backed Nurix AI Acquires Verloop.io to Expand Enterprise AI Agent Capabilities

Enterprise AI company Nurix AI, founded by Mukesh Bansal, has acquired Verloop.io , a conversational AI platform known for automating customer conversations across banking, fintech, retail, and telecommunications. The deal brings Verloop.io ‘s chat automation technology and regional customer base under Nurix AI, strengthening the company’s presence in India and the Middle East. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Combining Voice and Chat AI

Nurix AI built its reputation on NuPlay, its flagship voice AI platform designed for enterprise customer engagement. With Verloop.io now part of the fold, Nurix gains established expertise in chat-based automation, allowing it to serve enterprises across both synchronous voice interactions and asynchronous chat journeys. Verloop.io currently powers more than 20 million customer interactions every month, giving Nurix an immediate boost in scale and reach.

Why This Deal Matters

Enterprises are increasingly under pressure to move AI initiatives beyond pilot programs and into full production deployment. By combining voice and chat capabilities, Nurix positions itself to offer a more complete AI agent stack—one that can handle customer interactions across multiple channels without requiring businesses to stitch together separate vendors. For companies evaluating AI automation tools, this consolidation signals a broader industry shift toward unified, multi-channel AI platforms.
